Waiting on Wednesday #28: Independent Study (The Testing #2) by Joelle Charbonneau

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine. It spotlights books that have not yet been released, but ones that you should pre-order today! This week's book that I am anxiously awaiting is:

17165932

In the series debut The Testing, sixteen-year-old Cia Vale was chosen by the United Commonwealth government as one of the best and brightest graduates of all the colonies . . . a promising leader in the effort to revitalize postwar civilization. In Independent Study, Cia is a freshman at the University in Tosu City with her hometown sweetheart, Tomas—and though the government has tried to erase her memory of the brutal horrors of The Testing, Cia remembers. Her attempts to expose the ugly truth behind the government’s murderous programs put her—and her loved ones—in a world of danger. But the future of the Commonwealth depends on her.

Why I can't wait: I've read the first books in this series a few months ago and I really liked it. And know I'm curious about what will happen to Cia and the others.

Publication date: January 7th 2014

  3. I really liked The Testing, the only thing that bothered me was that it looked a lot like THG. But I'm quite sure that this book will be totally different.
    Thanks for stopping by!
