Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted over at Broke and Bookish. This weeks was a freebie so I chose the topic Top Ten Historical Fiction Books

The Fever Tree by Jennifer McVeigh
The Lady of the Rivers (The Cousins' War #3) by Philippa Gregory
KIYA: Hope of the Pharaoh (KIYA trilogy #1) by Katie Hamstead
The White Queen (The Cousins' War #1) by Philippa Gregory
The Song of Troy by Collen McCullough
The Queen's Fool (The Tudor Court #4) by Philippa Gregory
Favorite Daughter (Part One) by Paula Margulies
A Great and Terrible Beauty (Gemma Doyle Trilogy #1) by Libba Bray
Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin #1) by Robin LaFevers
Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare

I know that some of them are rather fantasy mixed with historical aspects but I decided to count them as historical fiction because I loved them so much.

  3. YAY for historical fiction! I, unfortunately, have not read the books on this list (although Infernal Devices and His Fair Assassin are on my TBR), but I'm a huge fan of the genre. One of my absolute favorites is The Traitor's Wife to Allison Pataki, which details the betrayal of Benedict Arnold with the help of Peggy Shippen from a maid's point of view. If you are in to the Revolutionary War, I would definitely recommend it to you:) Love the post:D

  4. You know, I expected more from Clockwork Angel. People were telling me it was steampunk, and I was totally in a steampunk phase... I think reading it after the Leviathan series left me a little disappointed.

    1. I am sorry to hear that. But I get it why you were disappointed when you were looking for steampunk.
